How to choose a bedroom look

A bedroom is for rest first, so start with the feeling you want at night. Dark, enveloping colors, as in the Moody Blue, Chocolate Brown and Burgundy Upholstered ideas, make a room feel smaller and quieter. Pale ones, like Cool Blue and Warm Minimalist, feel bright in the morning.

Then look at the headboard wall, because it is what you see from the door, and at storage: a calm look only stays calm if clothes have somewhere to go. Bedding is the cheapest part to change, so if you like a look but not its colors, try them in the bedding first.

What these bedroom ideas cover

Calm and natural: Japandi Bedroom, Sage Green Bedroom, Bedroom with Grasscloth Walls, Warm Minimalist Bedroom and Wellness Retreat Bedroom. Deep and enclosed: Moody Blue, Chocolate Brown, Burgundy Upholstered and Zen Goth bedrooms. Soft and decorative: Vintage Pink Bedroom, English Country Bedroom, Boho Bedroom with a Rattan Headboard and the Cozy Pillow-Nest Bed. Polished: Hotel-Style Bedroom. Rooms with a second purpose: the Night Sky Nursery and the Bedroom with a Window Reading Nook. Open any idea to see its color palette, the materials it uses and a few tips for getting the look, so you can borrow one part of it instead of the whole room.

Small bedrooms, studios and attics

Small Bedroom with a Storage Bed uses drawers under the bed, wall-mounted bedside shelves and a mirrored wardrobe. Studio Apartment Bed Alcove divides one room with a bookcase and a curtain. Attic Bedroom under the Eaves puts the bed under the slope and keeps the tall middle free to stand in.

In a small bedroom, pale looks with low furniture are the easiest to carry over. A dark color can work too when the whole room, ceiling included, is one shade, as in the Moody Blue idea. Built-in wardrobes that look like a plain wall, as in Warm Minimalist Bedroom, keep a small room calm.

Try an idea on your own bedroom

Press "Design this" on any idea. The tool opens with the idea's room type and style already set, and the idea's image as the style reference. Upload a photo of your own bedroom, taken in daylight from a corner or the doorway, and generate. The look comes from the idea; the walls, windows and layout come from your photo, so check the result and generate again if something has moved. You can also add a few words of your own, like "keep my grey sofa" or "lighter floor", to steer the result.

Lite is quicker and uses fewer credits; Max shows more detail and stays closer to your photo. New accounts get free credits to start, no card required.

Häufig gestellte Fragen

Are these photos of real rooms?

No. Each idea is a design concept rendered with AI to show one look clearly. Use it for the colors, materials and mood, then press "Design this" to see that look on a photo of your own room.

Can I design a nursery or a kids room?

Yes. Start from the Night Sky Nursery, or pick Bedroom in the tool and describe the room, like "nursery with a white crib and a rocking chair".

What if my bedroom is small or messy?

Shoot from the doorway with as much floor in view as you can. To clean up the photo first, run it through AI Room Cleaner, then use the result.
